Major IT and Digital have partnered with a leading managed services business on an exclusive arrangement.As a company my client has achieved ISO status and Microsoft Gold Partner accreditations by delivering excellent customer quality and high end service delivery.The business also operates UK wide working across a number of SME's and large Corporations with a client list that is looking to continue to grow around 20% year on year.As a result of continued expansion, my client has immediate requirements for a 3rd line technical engineer to work on installation, maintenance and migration projects across the Hertford and surrounding area.Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will come from a similar fast paced environment ideally managed services with at least 3 years commercial experience in a similar technical support and client facing role.As a 3rd line technical engineer, you will be a highly motivated with a good understanding of infrastructure and server knowledge including system networks, installation, maintenance, cloud knowledge including system security. You will also support the T1 /T2 teams with troubleshooting enquiries.Due to nature of this role, you will be required to visit client sites on occasion within the Hertford area.**A car and licence is a must for this role!Skills and responsibilities:
* At least 3 years commercial knowledge working within a similar IT discipline including a solid understanding of 2nd and 3rd line technical support, ideally within a managed services environment
* Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic experience via logs and reports
* A sound knowledge of network and server administration and support
* A good understanding Windows/Exchange servers including desktop operation systems
* Active Directory configuration / admin including good network skills (DNS/DHCP)
* A technical knowledge of O365 / SharePoint / OneDrive (admin / migration)
* Virtualisation experience (Hyper-V / VMware)
* Understanding of SQL Server
* Hardware Firewall Technologies Administration along with VPNs
* Office 365 Advanced Security (Sensitivity, Labelling, DLP, Conditional Access)
* Remote Desktop technologies including Citrix, RDS, VDS
