Supporting the work of the Jeweller since 2006Asprey London Limited has an opportunity for a 3D / CAD Designer to work closely with their Manufacturing and Product Category Teams.About the JobThe 3D / CAD Designer will assist the Silver, China & Crystal Category, Corporate & Export Department and Workshops with 3D Printing and CAD production design support.Main ResponsibilitiesCAD for client commissions, stock manufacturing, prototype and product development across our silver, jewellery and leather categories3D printing and rapid prototyping of our designs and product development projectsCreating accurate technical drawings for the jewellery and silver workshopsLiaising with Category designers and Workshop Manager to ensure our 3D manufacturing processes are achievable and efficient. Key point of contact between the 2 areasPreparing CAD files for castingAssisting the SCC category & Export Director with creating 3D models and CAD visuals for client presentationsMaintaining 3D printing machines to ensure a clean, safe and efficient workshopResearch of new technology with the aim of integrating this into our current set upManaging your own workload and time accordinglyKey Skills / Experience RequiredExcellent communication and organisation skills with the ability to manage several projects concurrently.Ability to react quickly to a change in situation and anticipate what will be required.An eye for detail with the ability to contribute and communicate CAD design ideas to various stakeholders.5 years’ experience or greater with Rhino (ESSENTIAL) and Matrix Gold5 years’ jewellery or silver trade experience (ESSENTIAL).
