About The Role:
As an 2nd Line Engineer specialising in either Office 365 or infrastructure here at COPC, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for staff and students. The role involves managing and maintaining the colleges IT systems, including Office 365 applications, ensuring their optimal performance and security. You will address escalated issues from the 1st line or support, perform system upgrades and collaborate with the other IT professionals to implement new technologies and solutions. Additionally, you may be conducting training sessions to enhance users proficiency with Office 365 tools and maintain documentation for IT processes and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
Configure and manage user accounts and permissions within Office 365 and other systems
Perform regular systems backups and disaster recovery operations
Provide technical support for hardware issues and conduct routine maintenance and updates
Collaborate with vendors and external partners for advanced troubleshooting and procurement of new technologies
Represent COPC with the upmost professionalism with every interaction
Handling of sensitive information with confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
Strong technical expertise, proficiency in Office 365 administration, network management and troubleshooting complex IT issues
Excellent problem solving abilities and the ability to diagnose then resolve technical problems efficiently and effectively under pressure
Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining an approachable demeanour to aid a positive first impression and rapport building
Proficiency with a range of IT systems and software, including knowledge of operating systems, network fundamentals and common office applications
Certifications such as Microsoft Certified, Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+ or similar credentials would be required
Previous direct experience in a similar role or a lengthy background within general IT services are required
