Role Summary:
As a Senior Electrical Compliance Engineer, you will lead the management and delivery of risk and compliance areas for electrical and LOLER engineering services in a range of County Council buildings and partner facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the management and delivery of risk and compliance areas for electrical and LOLER engineering services.
  • Manage contracts with associated contractors, tender works, and control budgets.
  • Deliver action plans for engineering risks associated with LOLER on a priority basis.
  • Develop programmes of work and budgets for ET&I and LOLER workstreams.
  • Conduct audits of test and inspection programmes.
  • Provide advice on building-related matters and organise remedial solutions.
  • Lead contract meetings with contractors and liaise with client departments and external clients.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • RQF Level 4 in a relevant subject.
  • Associate Membership of a relevant Professional Institution.
  • Recent and relevant experience as a senior engineer managing inspection work or similar.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and make sound judgements.
  • Strong personal organisational ability and project management skills.

Decision Making Areas:

  • Generate sound solutions to complex problems.
  • Detailed knowledge of technical issues, construction processes, and legislation, including CDM.

Working Conditions:

  • Hybrid working (mixture of home and office), with frequent site visits.
  • Communication with colleagues and contractors in a challenging environment.
  • Ability to fulfill the travel requirements of the role.
  • Some manual handling requirements (up to 5kg).
