We have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Active Directory and experience of Azure Management to join our dynamic team onsite in Aberdeen. The ideal candidate will also have experience in Domain Controllers, Multi-factor authentication, Group Policies, PKI, DNS, DHCP and IAM, and will bring a passion for technology and a commitment to delivering outstanding results. If you are a team player, possess excellent communication skills and have a strong technical background we’d love to hear from you.What you’ll doThe Infrastructure Engineer works with the Domain Services Lead to manage the Domain Services (DMS) environmentThe role is responsible for the build, support, and management of all aspects of domain services, including lifecycle support from technology choices through build to deploy, run to retireThe role will ensure the development and maintenance of all policies following the delivery methodologies for implementation into the operational environmentDevelops, deploys, and manages DMS to meet defined business specific needs as defined through the product maps / lifecyclesPerforms technical planning and implementation activities for domain services, such as:Active DirectoryDomain controllersMulti-factor authenticationGroup PoliciesPKIDNSDHCPIAMActs as technical guidance on DMS elements of IT projects, and supports with changes, upgrades and enhancementsAdministers, supports, installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots DMS hardware and software estate as well as its domain servicesCreates and maintains documentation, including processes, procedures, design & configuration, and operating manualsDelivers DMS support related BAU servicesDevelops and enhances existing technical skills, and works with third party vendors to ensure services and developed, enhanced, and supportedEnsures all processes/procedures/work instructions are clearly followed to help improve reliability, efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness of service components under supervision for example ITIL problem and change processesAccountable for compliance with all IT related processes, policies and work practicesSupports the development of future planning and product roadmap activityWorks with minimal supervision, using clearly defined processes and proceduresFacilitates the use of the performance metrics to improve outputMay be required to provide out of hours support via an on-call rotaWhat to bringExcellent analytical, collaborative (team working) with planning and execution skillsExpert knowledge in DMS such as - Active Directory, Domain, controllers, Multi-factor authentication, Group Policies, PKI, DNS, DHCP, IAMExperience of Azure ManagementExperience of CyberArk advantageousStrong industry and domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business unitsExperience of developing and implementing process improvementsSelf-motivated with a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goalsAbility to deliver to governance practices to track and measure the quality of services, and maintain service improvement plansStrong third-party relationship skills, able to work closely with multi sourcing and vendor managersGood verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to the IT workforceExcellent problem-solving skillsITIL qualification (foundation at a minimum or similar demonstrated experience) and proven ability of working to the ITIL disciplinesAbility to work effectively in a team environment to encourage collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvementWhat You’ll Get in Return:We are committed to recognising and rewarding hard work and offer a competitive salary and benefits package which includes (but is not limited to) the following;Company Pension SchemePrivate Medical InsuranceGroup Income Protection PlanGroup Life AssuranceCycle to Work SchemeProsocial EventsElectric Car Salary Sacrifice SchemeWe also believe effective training and development benefits both the individual and the organisation as a whole and contributes to the achievement of the company’s mission.
