2 x Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team in providing crucial mental health interventions to individuals within the prison establishment. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering care across the stepped care model, managing a caseload, and collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support for individuals with mental illness.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of individuals within the prison, including assessment, planning, delivery of interventions, and regular review of care.
Work within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team and Care Program Approach (CPA) to provide holistic care and support.
Collaborate effectively with primary health care and prison staff to provide advice, support, and guidance regarding mental health concerns.
Liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies to facilitate seamless care transitions and access to additional support services.
Support the team manager in achieving identified objectives related to individual care, staff development, and service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience:
Registered Nurse with current registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Register.
