1st Line IT Support Technician

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and motivated individual to join our growing Technical Support Department.

As a department we deal with all aspects of support internally and externally covering the IT, Fleet, Tools, Equipment and Office Consumables.

As a result of this you will need to be able to grow and move with the business as required ensuring you are managing workload efficiently and effectively dependent upon the business/ clients’ needs and demands at any given point. This can be a fast-paced high-pressure role at times when we are working to tight deadlines.

The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for all IT/ Tech based support in the company reporting directly to the Head of Technical Support. You will be working alongside a 2nd Line IT Support Technician with the specific IT responsibilities shared dependent upon your position/ field of expertise and as part of a bigger Technical Support Team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Respond to and resolve technical issues reported by users via phone, email, ticketing system or in-person

* Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware, software, and network problems

* Provide technical assistance and support to users in a timely and professional manner

* Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems

* Train users on new software and systems

* Work closely with other members of the Technical Support team to resolve technical issues and ensure the smooth operation of all computer systems

* Maintaining and monitoring of IT security and compliance

* Assist in driving ongoing IT development and adoption in the business

* Managing and recording all IT assets in the business.

Skills/ experience desired:

* Previous experience in an IT Support based role is desired

* Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network systems

* Experience with troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems

* Strong knowledge of the use, configuration and deployment of Windows, Android, and Apple operating systems

* Experience with IT security and compliance

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

* Good communication skills

* Good organisational and time management skills

* IT Qualifications relevant to the position desired
