1^st Line IT Support Technician - Chesham - £25K

A Managed Service Provider that works within the educational sector are now looking for a School IT Support Technician to work onsite at a prestigious Multi Academy Trust in Chesham to support their IT systems and networks.

The 1^st Line IT Support Technician will need to be DBS checked to work onsite within the Multi Academy Trust. As the successful IT support technician, you will need to have knowledge in Windows operating systems and how they work in a local area network environment.

Key Skills required:

• Previous experience within an IT Support / Service Desk role, preferable within Education IT
• Active Directory
• Office 365
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Familiarity with networking protocols (DNS/DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Good organisation skills
• The ability to learn in-house systems and explain them to other people
• Valid DBS - preferred

The main duties and responsibilities of the role is to communicate effectively to the 2^nd Line Engineers and explain how the in-house systems work to other people. In addition, you will be receiving, and logging calls on behalf of other colleagues and act proactively with them. Also, you will be managing incidents, requests and problems which arise and maintaining any incidents, requests and problems.

The salary for this role will begin at £23,000-£25,000 which includes a pension scheme as well with the chance of progression within the company!
