1-1 Learning Support Assistant -September Start

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Support Assistant to join our team and provide specialised support for a child with visual impairment in a primary school starting in September 2024.

As a 1:1 Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide individualised support to a child with visual impairment, ensuring their safety and inclusion in all school activities.
• Adapt teaching materials and activities to meet the child's needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to develop and implement personalised learning plans.
• Monitor and record the child's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Understanding of visual impairment and its impact on learning and development.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's educational and personal growth.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of the child.

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire

Monday- Friday

Salary - �85-�95 per day
