(Senior) Safety Test Engineer

As a (Senior) Safety Test Engineer you execute objective and reproducible (IEC 60601) safety compliance tests as part of the QLAB. You set up tests, interpret them and report the test results. Your role: The QLAB and our (Senior) Safety Test Engineers ensure that Philips’ Medical Devices fulfil the requirements of the latest international safety standards. As (Senior) Test Engineer you play an important role in ensuring the safety of our products, patients and healthcare workers worldwide.The QLAB is a small, internal Test Laboratory. You will test a wide variety of products and work closely together with your colleagues, the internal customer and certifying agencies.You are responsible to plan and perform tests on the hardware of Philips’ Medical Devices. You do this according to prescribed procedures, according to international standards. You are able to analyse and interpret test results and to prepare and compile test reports as part of product certification.You set-up, test, maintain and troubleshoot test and measurement equipment, including software, for the purpose of testing and measuring assemblies and/or final systems and related items. You're the right fit if: You have experience in (IEC60601) safety compliance testing or at least 5 years experience in hardware design/testing in a Medical Device environment.You are Quality-conscious, disciplined, accurate and honest. You possess good communication skills, both verbal and in writing communication skills in Dutch and English.You have a Bachelor’s (BSc) or Master’s (MSc) degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, physics or related or reached this level by experience.You can work under (time) pressure and autonomously.
