Yard Operative - FTC

We are looking for candidates interested in a Yard Operative role based at our Hartlepool site. You will work assisting in the Daily Operational / Inspection / Cleaning aspects for the efficient running of the Plant. Training will be given where required.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Key accountabilities of the Yard Operative include:

* To be responsible for Health and Safety under the Unimetals Safety vision, Principles and Policy

* To contribute towards the efficient running of the operation

* To ensure daily checks are completed

* To co-ordinate with other site operatives to ensure the correct processing of all loads

* To ensure their working area is kept in a clean and state at all times

* Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require

* Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community

Applicants must have a proven track record of having worked in a team with excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate will have sound knowledge of Health and Safety and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. The role requires exceptional organisational skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible and adaptable and will have integrity and confidentiality.

Forklift licence would be an advantage
