Job Title: XYZ CNC Setter – Siemens Controls
Location: Dudley
Salary: £15 to £16 per hour
Hours: Day Shifts – Full Time
Duration: Temp to Perm / Long-Term Opportunity

The Opportunity:

BCS Connect is working with a leading precision engineering company in Dudley, and we're looking to recruit an experienced XYZ CNC Setter with hands-on knowledge of Siemens controls.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, well-established workshop producing bespoke, low-volume components across a range of sectors. If you have a strong eye for detail and the confidence to work from engineering drawings, this could be your next long-term role.

Key Responsibilities:

Set and operate XYZ CNC machines using Siemens controls

*

Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and job specifications

*

Set tooling, speeds, feeds, and offsets for each job

*

Machine components to tight tolerances, typically in one-off or small batch production

*

Perform quality checks and first-off inspections using manual measuring equipment

*

Maintain a clean and safe working environment

*

Support team members and contribute to continuous improvement practices

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as a CNC Setter, specifically on XYZ machines

*

Confident with Siemens control systems

*

Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings

*

Skilled in manual measuring techniques (micrometers, verniers, gauges, etc.)

*

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

*

Able to work under minimal supervision

*

A flexible and reliable approach to work
