Workshop Assistant/Driver?

We’re hiring for a Workshop Assistant/Driver to join a growing manufacturer at their site based in Reddish, Stockport.
In this role, you’ll be working within a highly skilled engineering team working on bespoke projects.
What’s on offer?
* £13.00 – £13.50 per hour
* Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm
* Early finish on Fridays
* Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
* 29 days holiday
* Christmas bonus
* 1 week August shutdown (W/C 11th)
* Christmas party
What will you be doing as a Workshop Assistant/Driver?
* Assisting the engineers in any tasks which they need assistance within the workshop/on site
* Driving to pick up/drop off
* Utilise hand tools and tooling equipment efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
* Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly
What do you need?
* Proven experience working within a engineering environment is highly desirable
* Proficient in using hand tools and tooling equipment for polishing tasks
* A full UK driving license
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
