Job Advert: Working Foreman - Civil Engineering - Mansfield

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent (depending on performance)

We are currently recruiting for a Working Foreman to join a well-established civil engineering contractor operating in the Mansfield area. This is a hands-on role where you will take responsibility for small to medium-sized site teams, while also remaining actively involved in the day-to-day site work.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and work from engineering drawings and site plans

Coordinate labour and subcontractors on site

Order and manage materials to ensure works progress efficiently

Ensure all health & safety standards are met and maintained

Liaise with site managers and clients to ensure project time lines and expectations are met

Support the team by working on the tools as required

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Foreman or Site Supervisor within the civil engineering or ground works sector

Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings

Confident managing site materials and organising deliveries

CSCS card required; SSSTS or SMSTS preferred

Driving licence preferred due to site locations

Good communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site demands

This role would suit an all-rounder with a solid civil background looking for a stable opportunity with a growing contractor.
