Wood Machinist Wanted - Beam Saw Experience Preferred
Location: Beeston, Nottingham
Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour
Employment Type: Temp-Perm
Hours: 40 hours

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Wood Machinist to join our team in a busy, fast-paced workshop environment. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills within a well-established company that values quality workmanship and a strong team ethic.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with woodworking machinery, particularly beam saws, and preferably hold a valid forklift licence. However, we are willing to consider applicants who demonstrate solid machining experience and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating a beam saw and other woodworking machinery with precision

Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood components to exact specifications

Maintaining machinery and ensuring equipment is used safely and correctly

Supporting the production team to meet deadlines and quality standards

Assisting with loading/unloading materials using a forklift (if licensed)

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a wood machining or manufacturing environment

Beam saw experience is highly desirable

Forklift licence is preferred but not essential

Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic

Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
