Example Recruitment Group is currently working with a well-established national heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. They are currently seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the Wigan area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Council contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
* Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
* Wet works plumbing including replacing radiators, cylinder and valves
* Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
* Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records
Requirements:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience with gas qualifications
* Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
* In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
* Full UK driving licence
* No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)
Salary & Benefits:
* 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
* Additional earning potential with overtime, call out and weekend work available at enhanced rates

* Salary: £31,512.00 per year
* OTE £40,000+ per annum
* 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
