Job Title: Weighbridge Operator (Progression to 360 Driver)

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour to start, rising to £15.00 per hour after 360 training

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

Location: Chesterfield (Own transport may be required depending on your location)

Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Weighbridge Operator to join a busy and well-established Recycling Centre in Chesterfield.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with solid admin skills and a willingness to learn. You’ll manage weighbridge operations and support general admin duties — with the opportunity to train as a 360 Machine Operator, increasing your pay to £15.00 per hour upon completion.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

Previous admin or site-based experience (preferred)

Using basic computer systems and handling paperwork

Good communication and attention to detail

Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills

Experience in a recycling, waste, or construction environment is helpful but not essential

Licenses are not required — full 360 training will be provided on the job.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating the site weighbridge and logging vehicle movements accurately

Completing paperwork, data entry, and daily records

Coordinating with drivers and yard staff to keep operations flowing smoothly

Following health and safety procedures on-site
