Are you a Warehouse Supervisor looking for a new role with an exciting company??
Our client a internationally renowned, family owned company is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.
As the Warehouse Supervisor you will provide leadership to the Warehouse and Despatch team, coordinating their workloads and activities in line with the MPS (Master Production Schedule) requirements.
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Supervisor;
• Ensure efficient flow of stock throughout the site
• Responsible for the accuracy of stock ensuring items removed are kitted/issued correctly and accurately.
• Managing receipt of and signing for items at Goods Inward, ensuring details of such items are recorded on the Goods Inward spread sheet immediately upon receipt.
• Notify Managers, Team Leaders and/or Quality Department as required should any non-conformances arise from any Goods Inward activities. Ensure such items are quarantined and identified accordingly in-line with the company’s quality system.
• Report any non-conformances to the appropriate departments for immediate resolution. • Ensuring all items in the area of your activities are stored correctly in-line with company expectations/instructions with clear identification for appropriate traceability.
• The distribution of items to the production and other areas as and when required in-line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to fulfil Works Order requirements.
• The distribution of items from the Despatch area as and when required to fulfil Pick List requirements ensuring that pallets are wrapped in a timely manner to ensure satisfactory flow from the Production Area.
• Ensure Warehouse, Goods-Inward, Despatch and Yard areas are kept in an orderly manner as per expectations/instructions and that correct usage of skips is adhered to.
• Report any non-conformances to the appropriate departments for immediate resolution. • Forklift Truck safety checks to be completed as per H&S requirements. Ensure Forklift Trucks remain in a state of readiness to provide adequate service as and when required.
• Participation as and when required in the continuous development, improvements and maintenance of our systems that incorporate all manual systems, other databases/spreadsheets and Sage
• Play a lead and active part in Stock Takes as and when required.
• Assist as required in the Despatch of goods to suppliers and customers. • Conduct to the agreed schedule JK5 inspections and complete associated documentation.
• Ensure all activities relating to the day-to-day management of personnel are adhered to in-line with the Company expectations. Ensure all Holiday forms that are submitted are checked against labour requirements as determined by the operational requirements before authorisation.
• Report absences by completing Notification of Sickness/Absence Form, ensure Self Certification Forms and Return to Work Forms are completed and given to the Warehouse Manager.
The ideal Warehouse Supervisor will have the following experience;
Excellent understanding of Warehouse management processes, including resource planning.
• Solid knowledge of warehouse health & safety procedures and processes. • Proven experience in people management.
• Managing Safely - IOSH desirable.
• Continuous Improvement experience, training/qualification an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mindset and good attention to detail with an ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
• In-date accredited FLT CB license and Flexi/Bendi.
• Experience with Microsoft Packages
• Experience working with SAGE an advantage.
• Experience of on-line portal usage for booking third party transport an advantage.
As the Warehouse Supervisor you will work a day shift, Monday to Friday, 7.15am – 4.30pm with a 12.15pm finish on Fridays.
You will expect a salary of £34, 230 + benefits, including 33-34 days holiday)
