Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Leeds
Pay rate/Salary: £29,000 – £34,000 per annum
Hours of Work: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Type: Permanent
Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)
We are hiring for a Warehouse Operative who is experienced in working within a trade-focused distribution environment in Leeds. This is a busy, structured warehouse supporting a national electrical wholesaler, and you will be responsible for coordinating inter-branch collections at the back door as part of the wider warehouse team.
Duties of a Warehouse Operative
In this role, you will be working in the Warehouse & Logistics team to ensure effective management of goods movement and inter-branch coordination. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Managing branch-to-branch collections and deliveries at the back door
Receiving goods, checking against delivery notes, and updating records
Preparing orders for dispatch and organising outgoing stock
Maintaining a tidy and safe warehouse environment
Supporting general warehouse duties including loading/unloading and stock handling
Skills and Experience of a Warehouse Operative
As a Warehouse Operative, you need to have experience with:
Warehouse operations and goods receiving/dispatch
Working within a trade or distribution-based warehouse setting
It would be beneficial to the Warehouse Operative role if you also had:
A valid counterbalance forklift truck licence
Knowledge of electrical or industrial products
Experience using stock management or logistics software
