Our client, the European leader in refrigerated rental, is seeking for a Van Technician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be an individual with the right expertise to take on a vital role in maintaining and servicing light goods vehicles and seeks for a new opportunity to further enhance skills and knowledge in the refrigerated rental industry.
Role: Van Technician
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 17:30, 45 hours per week
Location: Motherwell
Key responsibilities:
* Perform regular maintenance and repairs on a wide range of LCVs.
* Diagnose mechanical issues and resolve them efficiently.
* Conduct inspections and safety checks to ensure vehicles meet all regulatory standards.
* Replace or repair faulty components such as engines, brakes, and transmissions.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
* Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
Requirements:
* Fully qualified LCV /HGV Mechanic (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent).
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of LCV/HGV mechanical and electrical systems.
* Ability to work with diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
