Upholsterer Role

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our team on a 3-month contract. The Upholsterer will be responsible for working on a variety of projects, from reupholstering seats to refurbishing office chairs. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, for a total of 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Reupholstering a range of seating, including chairs, sofas, and office furniture
Cutting patterns and fabrics to fit specific pieces and furniture
Repairing and refurbishing existing upholstery as needed
Ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail in all upholstery projects
Collaborating with team members to meet project deadlines and client requirements
Adhering to safety protocols and best practices in upholstery techniques

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Upholsterer or similar role
Proficiency in cutting patterns and working with various fabrics
Knowledge of different upholstery materials and their best uses
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including lifting and manoeuvring furniture
