Salary: Up to £55,000 dependent on experience

The Role:

Time Recruitment is supporting our client in their search for experienced, engaging, and forward-thinking Commercial Underwriters. This is a fantastic opportunity to build key foundations and shape the narrative, providing exposure and scope required for growth.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a New or Existing Business P&C Commercial Underwriter, you'll play a key role in transforming how broker portfolios are managed, fostering responsive, flexible, and collaborative relationships. With a strong balance of technical and trading capability, you'll be empowered to make decisions, supported by data, insight, and mobile technology. Your focus will be on developing and delivering profitable growth across new business within key markets.

What You'll Bring:

A willingness to challenge the status quo, collaborate with colleagues, and bring fresh perspectives
A perceptive approach to market demands, ensuring customer and business needs are met effectively
Experience working in a P&C underwriting environment, whether at an insurer or broker
High-level technical underwriting expertise
Strong trading capability, commercial awareness, and expert negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain excellent broker relationships, with a solid understanding of the current commercial insurance market
Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
Developed analytical skills with experience in account monitoring and action planning
Capability to drive change and continuous improvement, using resilience and adaptability
