Description

Supervise and coordinate the storage, distribution and transport of goods from suppliers to customers.
Ensure compliance with safety and legal regulations.
Manage relationships with logistics service providers.
Implement and oversee operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and warehouse activities.
Identify and implement optimal route planning.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics function.
Administer the dispatch process.
Liaise with drivers to coordinate transport plans.Profile

A successful Logistics and Distribution Controller should have:

Previous experience working within a Transport/Logistics role.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and customers.
