Trainee Patent Attorney

Job Description An excellent opportunity has arisen for a bright and ambitious graduate to join a well-established and highly respected IP firm as a Trainee Patent Attorney . Based in its Cheltenham office, the role offers full support through the qualification process and the chance to build a long-term career in the field of intellectual property.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong academic background in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline , who is keen to apply their technical knowledge in a legal and commercial context.
The role will involve:
\n Drafting and prosecuting UK, European and international patent applications
Working closely with a diverse client base, from individual inventors to multinational corporations
Assisting in freedom-to-operate, patentability and infringement analysis
Supporting partners and qualified attorneys in contentious and non-contentious IP matters
\n You will have:
\n A 2:1 or above (or equivalent) in electronic, electrical, mechanical engineering or a closely related subject
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills
A genuine interest in law and intellectual property
