Technical Writer

Job Description We're looking for a new team member to join our documentation team at Ansys Granta. You’ll help us create clear, useful content for Granta MI, Granta Selector, and Granta EduPack – our leading materials information management software. From help guides and tutorials to videos, developer references, and user interface text, you’ll support a range of users including engineers, educators, administrators, and developers. Please note this is a hybrid role and we would like candidates to come to our Cambridge offices 2-3 days per week.

This is a great opportunity if you enjoy turning complex technical information into content that people can actually use. You’ll be involved throughout the product development process, working closely with product managers, developers, and subject matter experts to make sure our users get the right guidance at the right time.

What you’ll be doing:

Writing and maintaining user assistance content such as online help, tutorials, videos, reference documents, and API guides
Creating microcopy for user interfaces, ensuring the language is clear, consistent, and helpful
Keeping our documentation up to date as products evolve
Testing the software yourself to verify instructions and capture accurate screenshots
