Location: Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire (Head Office, with occasional travel to Cranleigh site)

An established housebuilder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes across the South East is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee technical delivery across new residential developments. The role is based at their head office in Beaconsfield, with some travel to live sites.
The Technical Manager will report to the Commercial, Technical & Production Director and will lead on pre-construction technical coordination, consultant management, and design compliance. This position also includes mentoring a Technical Coordinator, making it an excellent opportunity for someone seeking more leadership responsibility in a growing business.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and review technical drawings and specifications for residential developments
* Ensure all designs are buildable, compliant, and aligned with planning permissions
* Manage external consultants, budgets, and project timelines
* Oversee service connections, Section Agreements, and NHBC approvals
* Maintain all required documentation, including health & safety files and technical registers
* Liaise with authorities for permits (e.g., hoarding, scaffolding, road closures)
* Support procurement and commercial teams with accurate technical data
* Mentor and manage a Technical Coordinator in line with project goals
* Collaborate with the sales team to verify brochure accuracy against design info
Required Experience and Qualifications:
* HND/HNC in Construction or Design Management (Degree preferred)
* Proven experience in a technical role within housebuilding
* Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations and design coordination
* Strong communicator with good organisational and time management skills
* Proficient in reviewing technical drawings and consultant deliverables
* Based within approx. one hour of Beaconsfield
* Full UK Driving Licence
