gap healthcare are recruiting for a Team Leader for a residential supported living service situated in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. My client is well established and is a pioneering provider of Learning Disabilities care.
Salary – Circa £27,410 per annum depending on experience
Full time – Permanent
Hours – 37.5 hours will be inclusive of shifts including some weekends
Area – Near to Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
Responsibilities – Team Leader Learning Disabilities
- To work alongside the Management Team to ensure a safe and well led service
- Take ownership for key-worker duties and where appropriate look to develop and strengthen links with families, friends and relevant significant others.
- To offer formal Supervision to members of the staff team as delineated in the Staff Support and Development Programme.
- Where delegated, to offer Line-Management within the Staff Support and Development Programme for Care Staff.
- To assist in the professional development of colleagues by involvement in other relevant aspects of the company’s Staff Support and Development Programme.
- Attend and contribute positively to regular staff meetings and hand-over meetings, ensuring all relevant information is disseminated appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Contribute positively to the training and development of the staff team to include own personal development / highlighting any training needs.
- To play a significant role in the training and induction of Care Staff, particularly in the absence of senior management.
Skills required – Team Leader Learning Disabilities
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and social care or equivalent
- Experience within a similar service is required due to having a working knowledge of CQC requirements.
- Have experience in supporting service users living with Learning Disabilities.
- The passion and desire to motivate staff and service users to achieve their full potential.
- Preferred, commuting distance from Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
