Job Description

Location: Rochdale
Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Salary: Dependent on experience
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Rochdale. This full-time role focuses on working with pupils with Autism (ASC) and other complex needs, providing 1:1 and small group support to help every child reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
*Support children with ASC, as well as other complex needs both in and out of the classroom
*Assist with the implementation of EHCPs
*Promote engagement, independence and emotional wellbeing
*Help maintain a structured and inclusive learning environment
*Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and other internal and external staff where required.
Requirements:
*Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASC
*A calm, patient and positive approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA) are beneficial but not essential. Other relevant qualifications and experience that you have gained knowledge of SEND through are welcome; such as Psychology degrees or roles as a Support Worker/Care Worker/Residential Support Worker
*Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
