Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: M22, Manchester
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:45 PM
Pay Rate: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Reeson Education is seeking a committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in the M22 area of Manchester. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role is to start immediately and is perfect for a Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.

The Teaching Assistant will be working across Years 2, 3, and 4, providing a mixture of in-class, group, and 1:1 support for pupils with a variety of special educational needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who thrives in a role that is both varied and rewarding.

As a Teaching Assistant in this setting, you'll work alongside the class teachers and SEND staff to ensure that pupils receive consistent, tailored support that helps them achieve their full potential both academically and emotionally.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
* Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils across Years 2, 3, and 4
* Support pupils with a range of SEN including ASD, SEMH, MLD, ADHD, and speech and language needs
* Provide in-class support as a Teaching Assistant, adapting tasks to meet individual needs
* Help to implement EHCP targets and support behaviour regulation strategies
* Collaborate with teaching staff and other Teaching Assistants to maintain a consistent learning environment
* Foster positive relationships with pupils to build trust and engagement

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
* Have prior experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting SEN pupils
* Be patient, adaptable, and nurturing
* Work well both independently and as part of a team
* Show initiative and resilience when supporting challenging behaviour
* Be confident in building rapport and delivering tailored interventions

Teaching Assistant Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
* Right to work in the UK
* References covering the last 2-3 years
* Relevant experience in a primary school or SEN setting
