Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are currently recruiting for a Male Teaching Assistant to work in a Southport secondary school rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

The school are looking for a Male Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 8 pupil who has been assessed and it is felt that a male would be better suited to the child's needs. The role is to start immediately and is a longterm role until the end of the academic year. It is Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm.

The successful Teaching Assistant would be working under the direction of the Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator.

Your role would be to support the student's learning and manage their behaviour. with their academic learning. The successful candidate will ideally bring with them, experience working with young people and the ability to develop the students social, emotional and mental health.

Full Time: 8.30am - 3.30pm

To start: ASAP until 18th July 2025

Full Time: Monday - Friday

Pay £91 a day

Requirements:

• Relevant experience working with children who have special educational needs is highly desirable.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated compassion and patience.
• Ability to build strong connections.
• Positive attitude and genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.
• Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service or be prepared to undertake a new one.

• Full and complete 10-year career history
• Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference
• Legal right to work in the UK.
