GSL Education are currently inviting applications for a committed Teaching Assistant (TA) to work in a well-regarded SEN school in Chesterfield. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a nurturing team that supports pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and SEN specialists to provide individualised learning and care for pupils with a range of complex needs. Your role will be instrumental in helping students access education in a way that suits their abilities and learning styles.
Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN
Assisting in the delivery of learning activities under the guidance of the teacher
Encouraging social and emotional development
Supporting students in managing their behaviour positively
Ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment
Liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support progress
Job Requirements:
Experience supporting children with SEN (either in a school or care setting) is highly advantageous
