This rewarding role will see you supporting primary and secondary-aged learners who require specialist assistance due to their Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties. Overview:
* Title: Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties Specialist
* Pay: £90.00 per day minimum
* Location: Swansea
* Hours: Full-time - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

The Role:
Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties Specialist:
* Providing dedicated support and supervision to learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD, or challenging behaviour.
* Actively participating in a range of Outdoor Education sessions, embracing the school's core approach.
* Assisting learners at the beginning and end of the school day, ensuring smooth transitions.
* Collaborating with staff members to prepare engaging classroom resources and learning environments.
* Working effectively with learners in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, catering to individual needs.
* Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons.
* Providing assistance to learners during break times, including lunchtime support.
* Actively engaging learners in both classroom-based and out-of-classroom activities.
* Adhering to the school's behaviour management policies and contributing to a positive atmosphere.
The Candidate: What you'll need to succeed as a Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties Specialist:
* A minimum of 3 months of demonstrable experience working with learners who have SEBD, SEMH, EBD, or challenging behaviour.
* Current registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) - we can provide guidance and support with this process.
* Verifiable professional references covering the last two years, with no gaps in employment history.
* A current Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
* The legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
