Full-Time Teaching Assistant - SEND Support - Chesterfield Start Date: September 2025 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? A small, friendly mainstream primary school in Chesterfield is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their SEND unit full time from September 2025 .
In this rewarding role, you will work closely with pupils with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties - some of whom are non-verbal. You'll be part of a well-established and supportive team of experienced staff, delivering high-quality, nurturing support to help every child thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEND

Assist with the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour support plans

Create a calm, positive and inclusive environment for learning

Support communication using visual aids, PECS, or other relevant tools

Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and external professionals
