Job Description

Primary School Teacher (Key Stage 2) - Redcliffe, Bristol
Location: Redcliffe
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Paid to scale (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-Time

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 teacher to join our friendly primary school in Redcliffe from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and support young learners in a nurturing and positive environment.

About the Role:
As a Key Stage 2 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to pupils in Year 4, Year 5, or Year 6 (flexible depending on experience). Your role will involve creating stimulating lesson plans, assessing pupil progress, and fostering a classroom environment where every child feels valued and motivated to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons across all KS2 subjects, including core and foundation areas
  • Monitoring and assessing pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs (SEND) to ensure they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively using positive strategies to promote a respectful and safe environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support the overall well-being and development of the children
  • Upholding safeguarding policies to keep children safe and secure at all times
  • Contributing to team planning and school improvement initiatives to enhance learning outcomes

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - applications without QTS will not be considered
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 4, Year 5, or Year 6)
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment practices
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire pupils
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and safe learning environment
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
