Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Suspension Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.
Roles and responsibilities:
Lead capability and statistical investigation of wheel alignment and ride height issues and improvements.
Deliver a robust glide path for gateway delivery. (Robust planning and delegation of tasks).
Be able to understand and apply best practice industry wide. (8D, six sigma).
Facilitate, plan and push resolution of cross functional platform Chassis issues Issues management, resolution, and communication against program timing.
Play a supportive role in the Launch Quality Operating Standard (LQOS) including problem definition and root cause at each physical build phase. Aide in removing any roadblocks to delivery.
Regularly lead cross functional teams to solve issues.
Skills:
Strong mathematical and Excel skills backed by a sound understanding of engineering principles.
Experience using Quality tools (8D, six sigma, Is/Is-not, Ishikawa diagrams).
Good verbal and written communication skills required to communicate across multiple business functions.
