Support & Test Engineer

Engineered to Protect, thats our promise, we protect what matters - our nations, our waters, our land, our cities, our people, our environment, our world.We are looking for a Support and Test Engineer in the Production Department, providing test, manufacture and support of the design of electromechanical systems and equipment supplied by SEA for the Defence and Commercial markets.
Our Support & Test Engineer will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week.
The salary for this role is up to £38k, depending on experience.
Whatyoullbedoing Test, repair and fault diagnosis of electronic equipment, including circuit cards, sub-assemblies and systems. This will include equipment that has been in service for some time, as well as new manufacturing equipment. The candidate will be required to work from circuit diagrams, wiring schedules and test documentation and use a variety of electronic test equipment including logic analysers, scopes and digital multi-meters.
Assembly and test of prototype circuits, cards and equipment, investigating component obsolescence issues and other general duties to support the Production and Design Teams. The candidate will be required to demonstrate a good standard of soldering (IPC J-STD-001, IPC 610, IPC 620) and show willingness to sort out design faults.
Occasional site visits may be required to customers sites to upgrade or repair equipment...
