Job DescriptionSupply Chain Analyst - Timber & Builders MerchantsYour role is to support the Head of Operations to optimise the transportation of timber and building materials across a network of 300 branches in the UK.We are looking for experience in the following:Data Analysis - routes, costs, performance and ways to improve efficiency.Planning & Forecasting - use historical data and market trends to anticipate demand and optimise resource allocation.Route Optimisation - Utilise routing software and analytical techniques to optimise delivery routes, minimise mileage, and improve delivery times while ensuring cost-effectiveness.Performance Monitoring - KPI related to transportation operations, such as on-time delivery, vehicle utilisation, and fuel efficiency, and develop strategies to improve performance.Cost Analysis - Identify opportunities for cost reduction and cost optimisation within the transportation network.Reporting - Prepare regular reports and presentations summarising transportation performance, trends, and recommendations for management review and decision-making.
