Job Title: Supervisor / Machine Operative (Late Shift)

Shift: 16:00 – 00:30
Salary: £29,000 per annum
Our client is looking for a reliable and proactive Supervisor / Machine Operative to join our late shift team. This hands-on role involves supervising staff, operating machinery, and ensuring safe and efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:

Report to the Production Manager
*
Supervise team members and report absences, holidays, or issues to the Office Manager
*
Enforce PPE use and Health & Safety compliance
*
Report all incidents, near misses, and environmental hazards immediately
*
Operate machinery, plant, and forklifts safely and efficiently
*
Help meet production targets through effective teamwork
*
Perform daily/weekly maintenance checks and report faults promptly
*
Keep work areas tidy and emergency exits clear
*
Check incoming loads for compliance and report non-conforming waste
*
Load/unload customer vehicles safely and quickly
*
Undertake training as needed and support smooth site operations
Requirements:
*
Valid Forklift Truck Licence
*
Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
*
Strong work ethic and reliable attitude
*
Advantageous: mechanical breakdown experience
