About The Role
Our Technical Team is a very important team when it comes to Morrisons Manufacturing. It's down to them to ensure we're legally compliant from a food safety point of view. Our sites are super busy, ever-demanding and our standards are high - keeping our Technical team busy every day. We're looking for a Specification Technologist to join our Winsford Team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining all specifications and quality attribute sheets across the site.
Other responsibilities will include:
Ensure all products are suitable for trading and compliant with relevant law
Maintain the specifications files with the most current, up to date specification
Manage and issue of manufacturing specifications to factory teams
Obtaining artwork and ensuring sign-off as required to meet deadlines
Work with cross functional teams to deliver technical aspects of the process on time
Attending and contributing to meetings and ensuring all information is accessible
Building relationships with internal teams in the business to help deliver results
About You
As well as the ability to work at pace, you will also need to have:
Relevant experience or a degree in science, food technology, or equivalent
Knowledge of safety, legality, compliance and quality across supply chain and product range
Previous experience/knowledge of retailer specification systems
Understanding of BRC requirements
Strong analytical and decision making skills
Excellent communication skills and solution focussed problem solver
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and a “right first time” attitude
Creates a positive and dynamic working environment
