About the Role

We are looking for a detail-driven Specifications Technologist to join our Innovation & NPD team in Carlisle. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse product range, supporting both new product development and ongoing product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, complete, and manage customer product specifications to meet agreed deadlines
  • Collaborate with Technical and NPD teams to ensure specifications accurately reflect manufacturing processes
  • Organise and maintain documentation including raw material and finished product specs, nutritional data, and compliance reports
  • Review and approve packaging artwork to ensure legal and customer labelling compliance
  • Stay up to date with market trends and ensure technical standards are maintained in line with business and customer expectations

About You

This role is ideal for a someone with a factory-based technologist background, or a graduate with a relevant degree and a year in industry. You'll need strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to thrive during seasonal peaks.

Key Skills

  • Experience in a similar role within food manufacturing or a related technical role
  • Ideally qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline
  • Excellent attention to detail and confidence managing technical data and documentation
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams
  • Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications (Level 2) desirable

Working Hours

  • Onsite Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
  • 40 hours per week
