We require aSpecialist Engineer (SME) within the Styling department of Triumph to be the point of contact within the department and wider business for any technical issues in this area.The role is a key leadership role and will be required to use a high level of technical judgement, in collaboration with the necessary Chief Engineers and other Specialists, to give guidance and direction to the Vehicle Teams and achieve successful project delivery.
As a Specialist Engineer you willsupport the Vehicle Teams by being the styling champion for the range of models they have responsibility for, immersing yourself in the product and driving enthusiasm in others. and through collaboration with Product Planning ensure the customer is centric to everything that we do.
The successful candidate will have the following skills & experience;
High level of experience, technical skill, understanding and judgement within styling, product design and engineering
Ability to apply a pragmatic, practical approach to technical problem solving, to drive issues to robust solutions through all stages of the projects
Ability to coach and develop technical ability within the vehicle teams and to continually improve processes thereby building further the robustness of any designs
Ability to make sensible and logical decisions when under pressure
A proven collaborator with good skills in operating in multi-discipline teams
Good commercial judgement to enable the best overall decisions for the business to be made
Ability to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable approach to their work to continuously improve the engineering quality within styling
Previous experience of working within an automotive /manufacturing environment
