We're currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner SEN schools in Barrow-in-Furness.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role:
* Position: Teaching Assistant (SEN - Supply)
* Location: Barrow-in-Furness
* Start Date: as soon as possible
* Hours: Full-time / Part-time options available
* Pay: £90 - £120 per day
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional challenges.
* Work 1:1 and in small groups to promote engagement, independence, and progress.
* Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Contribute to daily routines, sensory activities, and emotional regulation support.
What We're Looking For:
* Experience supporting children with additional needs (in school, care, or youth work settings).
* A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic school setting.
* A current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through us).
