sous chef - Nursing home - DAYTIME

2nd chef sous chef required in the Darwen area of Lancashire. This is The rotas are between 730am and 530pm, no late nights and is 38 hours a week. £12.86 per hour, sous chef / 2nd chef.

The role
We are looking for a second chef to run the kitchen for around 80 residents when your on shift, you will ensure the 3 meals a day are ready on time, the timing in a nursing home is really important. you will ensure the various diets are met, including soft diets, low sugar diets, vegetarian and other diet needs. with it being a care home, it is really important to follow the menus that have been signed off and having the meals ready on time. this role will include all standard second chef / sous chef duties. if you can cook fresh food and looking for a life balance, with evenings off, this is ideal

Experience
We are looking for a sous chef from a contract catering, care home or a hotel/restaurant background, who wants to go into a kitchen with a good work/life balance. you must be a good time keeper, be reliable, be able to follow diet needs of the residents.

* Must have a HACCP qualification, NVQ Level 2 Catering

* The Company will need to perform a DBS check on the successful candidate, due to being a care home.

* Hours will be 38hr/week

* 7.30am – 5.30pm

* Job Type: Full-time

* Pay: £12.86 per hour
