Our client are looking to hire for their software dev team, where you will be working with an established team of senior developers, supporting on a combination of new features and legacy systems.ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will become a part of a small team of developers.They will engage with different business areas within an office environment, with flexible hybrid working options available.Their primary responsibility will be to address development work tickets aimed at enhancing or optimizing the company's product. This includes collaborating with the ticket owner to comprehend their requirements, completing the tasks, and ensuring the changes pass through code review to reach production.The candidate will collaborate closely with all stakeholders, such as the IT support desk, business directors, and the sales and marketing department. Thus, effective communication skills with individuals who have a non-technical background are crucial.There is also an opportunity to oversee daily dev ops using AWS, which involves monitoring and addressing issues with the current infrastructure, as well as identifying and implementing optimizations to enhance cost efficiency and user experience.EssentialExperience or qualifications in web development.Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML/CSS.Strong communication skills for interacting with non-technical stakeholders.A solid understanding of the importance of testing and documentation in a team environment.DesirableFamiliarity with version control systems like Git.Experience with AWS or other cloud computing platforms.Please note that candidates must have permanent right to work in the UK and be based within a reasonably commutable distance to Preston!
