About The Client:

We are recruiting for an in-house, all-round Social Media Manager to join our client's thriving e-commerce company based in North Manchester. Their passion lies in creating premium content that reflect the quality of the products they sell. As they continue to grow, we are looking for a talented Social Media Manager to join their creative team. The Role:

As a Social Media Manager, you will play a crucial role in bringing products to life through high-quality visuals and strategic plans to boost the company's social media presence and overall visability. Working closely with the content and marketing teams, you will assist in planning and creating captivating videos and images for their website, social media channels, and advertising campaigns.

This role is full-time onsite in their North Manchester office - you must be willing and able to commute regularly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage their social media marketing strategies from a video and content point of view.
• Conceptualise and storyboard content ideas to align with marketing goals.
• Support photoshoots and video production sessions as needed.
• Assist in creating engaging video content, including product showcases, social media reels, and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with the creative team to maintain a consistent visual style.
• Stay updated on current trends in video and image editing, especially in the ecommerce market.
• Work with the editing team to adapt content for various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn).
• Ensure videos are optimized for platform-specific algorithms and audience engagement.
• Occasionally, you will be in front of the camera, either for posts or hosting lives (e.g. product showcases and Q&As)

Skills and Experience:

• You need to have a strong portfolio with examples of your work in order to be considered for this role. Please either include a link on your CV, or attach it to an email sent to: faye . landells @ circlerecruitment . com
• Successful applicants will have had proven hands-on experience with growing a brand's social media presence across a range of platforms, ideally within the ecommerce / retail sector. If mainly freelance, successful applicants will have worked with well-known / established clients for an extended period, creating multiple deliverables showing good understanding of brand identity and consistency across content.
• Experience with post-production editing using the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects etc) or Da Vinci Resolve would be preferred.
• Very good knowledge of social media trends and platform-specific content requirements (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
• Ability to work take initiative and work independently as well as work collaboratively as part of a team.
• For this role you must be confident and happy to be in front of the camera. TikTok / Instagram live experience would be beneficial.
