Randstad is currently recruiting for a proactive and reliable Site Manager to oversee an exciting Cat A and Cat B office fit-out project in the Cheltenham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual seeking a short-term contract of approximately 8-10 weeks, with a start date in early June.
About Our Client:
Our client is a reputable fit-out contractor with a strong presence in the commercial sector. They are known for their efficient delivery and high standards of workmanship on office fit-out projects. They require a dedicated Site Manager to ensure the smooth and successful completion of this upcoming project in Cheltenham.
The Role:
As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the office fit-out project, ensuring it is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. You will be the key point of contact on-site, coordinating all trades and ensuring the project progresses efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the on-site management of the Cat A and Cat B office fit-out project in Cheltenham.
Ensure the project is delivered according to the agreed programme (approximately 8-10 weeks).
Supervise and coordinate all subcontractors and direct labour on site.
Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Monitor the quality of workmanship and ensure it meets the project specifications.
Liaise effectively with the Project Manager, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
Manage site logistics, including deliveries and material storage.
Conduct regular site meetings and report on progress.
Identify and resolve any on-site issues or delays promptly.
Ensure the site is kept clean and organised at all times.
Manage the snagging process and ensure timely completion of all outstanding items.Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager on Cat A and Cat B office fit-out projects.
A strong understanding of the fit-out process and the coordination of various trades involved.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
A proactive and hands-on approach to site management.
Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations within a construction environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Valid SMSTS certificate.
Valid CSCS card.
