Service Desk Engineer

Service Desk Engineer contractor required for a fast-paced London Market Insurer. The company are in hyper growth and the need for motivated support engineers is critical to the delivery of strategic plans as well as BAU support.

You will be joining a high performing team, in a fast-paced environment, where a proactive & driven consultant is required to manage continuous 1st and 2nd line requests. You should have a proven track record delivering 1st and 2nd line support within the financial service/insurance industry.

This is an initial 3 - 6 months contract with a Day rate of £300 - £350 Inside IR35. This requires 5 days a week in a London office.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to users across all levels of seniority.
  • Supporting all daily used communication tools such as Teams, WebEx, O365, AV and telephone
  • Regularly reporting back to the IT team with any updates/feedback, ensuring effective handover of incidents
  • Mobile device management MDM & MAM
  • Provide regular feedback to senior management for projects, incident management and change management
  • General IT administration activities including joiners, movers, and leavers processes.


Skills and experience required:

  • Previous service service desk support within Financial Service/Insurance Industry.
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
  • Strong knowledge of O365, Windows 10, MS Office, Active Directory and Exchange Online.
  • TeamViewer and MimeCast experience
  • Microsoft Azure
