Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Durham
Rate: £350 per day CIS/LTD or £260 per day base rate Umbrella PAYE
Duration: 9 months
On site parking (small cost £28 per month)
Immediate start
Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
We are recruiting for a senior quantity surveyor to oversee projects from £50k - £1.5m on a large healthcare site in Durham. The project are upgrades, remodels & refurbishments.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for projects, room by room, floor by floor.
Conduct accurate take-offs for materials and costs.
Ensure MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services are integrated into estimates.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
Analyze tender documents and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
Strong experience in estimating fit-out and refurbishment projects.
Solid understanding of MEP services.
Ability to perform take-offs and create detailed BoQs.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proficienct with excel and MS applications
Qualifications:
5-7 years of experience as a senior Quantity Surveyor .
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field preferred.
