Senior Quantity Surveyor – ShropshireAn opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier One Contractor on a permanent basis. This contractor are construction specialists of new build and refurbishment commercial schemes within Retail, Leisure, Defence and Student Accommodation to name a few!You will be responsible for the commercial aspect of a project or a section of a larger project and will have a high degree of understanding and working knowledge of start up procedures and would have managed multimillion pound schemes. This position will include the following responsibilities but not limited:Responsibilities:To maximise the commercial efficiency of the project whilst reducing the risk profilePreparation of internal commercial reporting and any other reports which may be required measurement, valuation, and agreement of work sectionsPreparation of tender enquires for subcontract works packages and analysis of tender returnsPreparation of Valuations/Application for payment with full supporting documentation in accordance with the contractAdministration of subcontractor/supplier accounts from the preparation of detailed requisitions, monitoring and authorisation of subcontract payments through to agreement of final accountsSkills:Minimum of HNC or equivalent in constructionP22 Healthcare desirableExperience of main contracting/NEC/JCTStrong written, oral communication skills and negotiationStrong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and ProjectIf you are an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor and would like to discuss this vacancy, please do call RGB recruitment Exeter and ask for Nicky Harris.
