Senior Project Manager - Client side - East LondonSenior Project Manager – Client side – East LondonFalmouth Fairfax are working in partnership with a leading commercial provider with multiple sites across Southern England. As part of their continued growth, they are looking to bring into the team a solid Project Manager who will have a wide role overseeing the development and fit-out of new acquisitions in addition to CAPEX refurbishment and maintenance across the existing assets. The role will be based in the East London office with travel to sites in London and the Southeast.Remuneration:The role:The Project Manager will be joining a family office who have developed an exceptional presence and offering within the UK nursery sector. The Project Manager will report into the Property / Business Director and be responsible for the 360 oversight of nursery new build, reconfiguration and fit-out projects valued up to circa £2/3 million each from initial feasibility and DD at acquisitions stage through appointing and managing external consultant and contractor teams across design, planning and delivery to hand over of the completed sites to the operation team. In addition, you would be responsible for overseeing the CAPEX spend across the existing assets for refurbishment and planned maintenance projects valued circa £100k - £500k. They would be keen for this individual to have management experience and mentor the team of inhouse maintenance operatives handling the facilities management and reactive maintenance across the nurseries. They are an exceptionally well-funded business with established sites and continued growth aspirations of 2 – 3 sites per year.We are looking for a Project Manager who may have come from a Building Surveying, Facilities or Cost Management background with experience of running multiple mid-size fit-out and refurbishment projects between c.3,000 Sqft and 8,000 Sqft with construction costs between £200,000 and c.£3 million. As an asset owner they are keen for the individual to be commercially astute and detail focused looking at the long-term asset management in terms of finishes and materials used. Experience of the nursery / education sector would be an advantage, but they are open to driven people who have good JCT contract experience office, retail, hotel or leisure schemes. As a mid-sized business with a smaller Real Estate function, they are looking for a proactive hands-on person who is open to getting involved in a wide spectrum of the project, asset and facilities management functions and become a core part of their team.Requirements:Degree qualified in Project Management, Building Surveying, Facilities or Quantity SurveyingProfessionally qualified preferable but not essential5+ years’ experience delivering fit-out and refurbishment projects valued between £1 million and c.£3 million, advantageous if this is in the nursery, leisure, or education space.Experience in existing asset CAPEX planned maintenance and facilities management.Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team running the full project lifecycle from inception to completion.Good experience of consultant and contractor team management under JCT contracts as well as CDM and building regulations.Experience in service agreements, drafting briefs, reading architectural drawings and advantageous if you have knowledge of lifecycle costing.Good experience of MS Office suit and presentations.
